Below are short student film assignments I created using Premiere Pro or After Effects.
- Who am I?: This short film was created as a submission to an assignment with the instructions to create a short video from 30 seconds to a minute long explaining your career interests and why you are at the school.
- Quarantine Short Film: Students were tasked with creating a storyboard and a short film showing what our average day at home was like during quarantine. I drew the story board in Photoshop, filmed it, and edited it in Premier Pro. It was my first time creating a short film and I was pretty happy with the result. One thing I wish was that I had better microphone to capture sound, as I couldn’t get quality audio.
- Experimenting with Premiere Pro: My Adobe Premiere Pro course used footage from a documentary about an Irish bakery. While experimenting on my own with the concepts, I remixed the clips, added some motion graphics titles, customized transitions to create more interest, and cut the soundtrack putting different parts together to create a shorter soundtrack. The result was something like a trailer for the longer documentary with some silly humor.
- Robot Walk: While learning Adobe After Effects I discovered that you could animate characters in it. I was then inspired to build a simple robot character and a basic Martian landscape in Adobe Illustrator, imported them into After Effects, rigged the character, and animated it.
- Skills used for these projects: videography, camera operation, shot composition, non-linear editing, Adobe Premiere Pro, Adobe After Effects, Adobe Photoshop, Adobe Illustrator.
