St. Nick

This piece was commissioned for the annual Hometown Christmas Festival in Ave Maria, FL and I had a lot of fun designing it. My only direction was to make a picture featuring St. Nicholas.

  • The goal was to make him recognizable as Santa Claus, but also to capture the essence of the historical figure. I did this by including some of Santa’s iconic qualities such as his beard, and physical build
  • The church setting in the background is actually the unique Catholic church in Ave Maria
